Great Opportunity for Free Summer Field Trips!!

All Current 7th and 8th Grade Pre-AP students are invited on two trips during the first week of summer break.  All transportation, meals and registration fees will be paid for by Browne Middle School. 

Students can choose to go to:  University of Houston-Victoria or to the Houston Space Center-NASA--or they can go on BOTH trips!!

for parents this summer

Goal:  to learn specific parenting skills that can bring peace into your home that will create a better relationship between you and your children

Browne's 2010-2011 School-wide Plan for Success Discipline Code, the 3-R Discipline Program: Rules, Responsibility, and Respect, commits to ensuring that district campuses will be safe, secure and violence free places where all students can learn and achieve to their fullest potential. Therefore, drugs, weapons, profanity, verbal abuse, offensive physical contact, and assaults will not be tolerated. Students and adults who engage in these behaviors must accept the consequence that are associated with these behaviors. Students can report dangerous situations, threats of physical violence, acts of vandalism, and gang activity 24 hours a day by dialing 886-9276.  A female empowerment program available for
6th, 7th and 8th grade girls.

Young Men United (YMU)
 A male empowerment program available for
6th, 7th and 8th grade boys
  
The five points of the program are: 
Relationships, Goals & Decision Making, Influence,
Communication & Expressing Individuality.

Meetings are held during the student's lunch shift in room 103.  
Students may pick up a permission slip from Mrs. Berglund.
